About TMS
Founded in 1986, the Transit Museum Society of British Columbia is dedicated to restoring, preserving, and operating historical vehicles that showcase the rich history of public transit in the province. In addition to maintaining a remarkable collection of vintage buses, we preserve artifacts and memorabilia that tell the story of our transit heritage.
As an independent registered society, we are not affiliated with BC Hydro, BC Transit, Pacific Coach, or TransLink. Our mission is to celebrate and share the legacy of public transit, connecting communities with the stories that shaped how we travel today.
Join us on a journey through time explore our fleet, attend events, and experience the past in motion.
We Love Videos!
The Transit Museum Society is committed to preserving British Columbia’s public transit heritage, and our video collection brings that history to life. Our Location
The Transit Museum Society is based in Langley, BC, where we work tirelessly to preserve the history of public transit. While we donβt have a traditional physical museum location, our museum is mobile, with our historic buses serving as the centerpiece of our exhibits.
We take our museum on the road to various events, showcasing our vintage bus fleet and sharing the rich history of public transit with communities across British Columbia. Whether it’s a fan trip, a vintage bus show, or a special event, our buses come to life and offer a unique, hands-on experience for all to enjoy.
Stay tuned to our Events page to find out where our next stop will be, and come visit us on the road!
