The Society is a registered charity.

We will issue a receipt that you may attach to your Canadian income tax return. This will allow you to:

  • get a 15 percent non-refundable federal tax credit for the first $200 of  total donations for the year.
  • and get a 29 percent federal tax credit for total donations beyond the $200 threshold.

For B.C. residents, the provincial government allows additional tax credits which increase the two amounts to 20 percent and around 43 percent respectively, (combined federal and provincial amounts.)

You can claim the amount shown on your charitable donation receipt. The maximum donation amount you’re able to claim in a year is 75 percent of your net annual income.
