My brother and I were at Expo in September. He and I met up in Calgary, then flew to Vancouver, staying with a friend of his in PoCo. From YVR to New Westminster we had a D700A on the 100; that was the only time I rode one in Vancouver.
I remember some buses that were in Ottawa earlier that year: OC Transpo Orion-Ikarus 8533 at the Hungarian Pavilion; a Van Hool 4-door artic that had demoed in Ottawa for about a month, working the Canada Place shuttle. At the German Pavilion was a small low-floor Neoplan roughly analogous to the Orion II. One of my favorite shots was the monorail at – where else – pillar 86!
