The IC41 which TRAMS owns last operated as Horizon Coach Lines 101. When we
bought the company this bus was out of service and had been partially
converted into a camper, but we recognized its historical value and
converted it back to a bus and eventually had it operating and used it for
the occasional charter. This is when it was repainted light blue. We wanted
to see it preserved, and first offered it to the Provincial Museum, who at
that time was in the process of establishing a truck museum at Cloverdale.
We made sure it was stored indoors and when I sold the company we still
owned it but I made sure that certain people were well aware we had it and
what should happen to it. It took many years and a lot of work on the part
of several people before it was finally secured by TRAMS.

6228, has an ACF-Brill style
replacement, no doubt due to accident repair. I believe it was the only
one with this style grille. IMHO
6228 had the ugliest rendition of the PCL paint scheme, again lending
credence to my theory that it got banged up pretty badly at some point.
Perhaps our survey will reveal evidence of that.(JD) |
