yellow and at first I was curious and thought a Cat was being
retrofitted. Unfortunately, it wasn't a Cat....just a rebuilt Series
50. There a sticker inside the engine door indicating the engine was
rebuilt to new specifications with the pertinent numbers (rebored
cylinders, modified fuel injectors etc...). I guess the yellow
colour is to help maintenance staff identify this modified S50 from
the ones in the rest of the artics. No doubt the new specs are an
attempt to remedy the chronic reliability and low power problems the
S50 engines have been having on the LF artics.
